Tell Your Dentist or Hygienist You Want

LOZI-FLUR™
Fluoride Lozenges

A Message From Dr. Reed

After 10 years of research, testing, and satisfying the FDA, LOZI-FLUR is now available.

From the very beginning of my practice, nearly 30 years ago, I have been a firm believer in the benefits of home fluoride products. Because you probably picked up this brochure when you visited your dentist or hygienist, I'm sure they feel the same way. Properly and consistently used, additional home fluoride is a powerful tool in the fight against tooth decay.

Before LOZI-FLUR, my patients always found the products we used to be either, bad-tasting, time-consuming, or both. As a result, patients never used them like they should - every day! Actually, I can't blame them.

LOZI-FLUR has changed all that. Our practice now has over 300 patients using LOZI-FLUR, and not all of them use it because they have decay problems. Many have decided they simply want to protect the substantial investment they have made in their oral health.

We can't guarantee you'll never have another cavity once you start using LOZI-FLUR, but if you continue to see your dentist and hygienist on a regular basis, brush & floss, you can expect to reduce their occurrence by up to 80%. Your existing fillings and crowns will also last longer.

You may be able to obtain LOZI-FLUR at your dentist's office or you can ask for a prescription and pick it up at your local pharmacy. Either way, you'll be glad you did.

Protect Your Teeth with Fluoride
Conveniently and Safely at Home

Over the past 50 years clinical studies have consistently shown the use of topical and ingested fluoride products to be an effective weapon in the on-going war against tooth decay.

As a child you most likely received extensive fluoride treatment which helped you develop strong and healthy teeth. Those teeth still need fluoride treatments today.

Because fluoride helped us do a good job of caring for our permanent teeth as they developed, we have kept more of our teeth as we have aged.

However, as we age, many of us suffer from periodontal problems (receding gums). As the gums shrink, more and more of the tooth root surface is exposed. Exposed root surface is a prime breeding ground for new decay.

On average, adults in the US have about 23 fillings. Nearly a third have 30 or more. Recurring decay around these restorations is a serious problem. Between 40-50% of replaced fillings are the result of new decay around original fillings.

Over 400 commonly prescribed drugs for the treatment of heart conditions, cancer and many other diseases result in dry mouth. When saliva flow is reduced, we lose our first line of defense against tooth decay.

Fluoride inhibits the formation of new cavities on both tooth enamel and root surfaces. The tooth becomes more resistant to acid and fluoride’s remineralization effect works to reverse the formation of new cavities.
